🛠️ Instructions for integrating Outlook Exchange Server

This manual is referring to Exchange Server 2019. If you are running another version of Exchange Server please contact amberSearch team to consult on the connectivity possibilities. 

The contents (e-mails and their attachments) are accessed through a service account, which with impersonation access type can access various mailboxes, personal and shared. This manual gives instructions about the creation of the service account and granting the necessary role. The final goal is to create an account which has the role ApplicationImpersonation.

1. Go to Exchange Admin Center
2. Navigate to recpients -> mailboxes -> create User mailbox
3. Navigate to permissions -> admin roles -> create new role 
   • Name: EWS Access
   • Roles: ApplicationImpersonation
   • Members: Add the account created in step 2 (Service Account amberSearch)
4. Share the credentials of the service account with amberSearch!
