1. Introduction
All important key figures and functions at a glance - efficiently manage, analyse and optimise.Â
The administrator dashboard provides a centralised overview of the most important statistics and functions to effectively manage the use of amberSearch. Administrators can view user numbers and activity statistics here. Â
All data is aggregated and processed in compliance with GDPR, so that privacy and the protection of sensitive information is guaranteed at all times. Â
Â
2. Access to the admin dashboardÂ
When you are in amberSearch, navigate with your mouse to the top right-hand corner of your screen and click on the user avatar. A small menu will open. Â
If your account has the required administrator rights for your amberSearch instance, you will see the menu item âAdmin settingsâ. Â
If the menu item is not visible, the account does not have administrator rights. Requests for administrator rights must be submitted to amberSearch via the project manager.Â
Â
3. The dashboard itselfÂ
After you have clicked on the menu item âAdmin settingsâ, an overview opens, the so-called âAdministration Dashboardâ. Here you can see everything important at a glance. Let's go through the most important points.Â
On the left-hand side of the screen, you will see a bar where you can choose between the menu items âGeneralâ and âUser administrationâ under âAdministrationâ. By default, you are first on the âGeneralâ page, your overview.Â
Under âUser managementâ you can assign licences to your team members. There is another help page on this topic. Click here for more information.
Here you can see which data sources are connected:
Here you can set a desired time period over which you would like to see your team's statistics:
And here you can see how often and through which access option amberSearch (over the period of time you specified in advance) was visited by users:

4. Further functionsÂ
The connected data sources are also listed on the right-hand side of the screen.Â
The connected network drives are of particular interest here. If you click on âWindows Sharesâ in the list, you can see which ones are already connected and display further details by clicking on âShow more detailsâ on the right.
A window then opens with more detailed information about the respective network drive, e.g. which subdirectories of the drive are included and the respective number of files. This allows you to keep an eye on the completeness of all data.
You can also display the lists of the respective content for all other data sources and check the status and completeness. You can recognise whether a file or data source is connected by the green tick.
