🔓Set Up for Jira Data Center

Important prerequisite: This manual in Contrast to the Jira Cloud Set Up does NOT need the manual from here Set Up the Atlassian Application to be completed

In order to index the contents of Jira Data Center:

1. Create new user in Jira User Directory
2. Create personal access token for this user
3. Grant Administer Projects permissions to this user for the relevant projects (This is needed for reading the project permissions)
   1. Alternatively, the user can be added to jira-administrators group and get the required permissions in all existing projects.
4. Grant Browse Projects permissions to the user for all relevant Jira projects

The following information needs to be noted and provided to amberSearch:

• Credentials of the user
• Personal Access Token for this user
• URL of Jira and the respective IP
